Funding opportunities
Seed Innovation Fund Program
Supports innovative, early-stage clean energy research done by MIT faculty and researchers. The call for proposals is issued every fall, with awards announced in the spring.
Future Energy Systems Center
Accepts proposals biannually focusing on a systems approach or analyses, including the techno-economics and lifecycle emissions of energy technologies and the impact of policies and market forces.
Energy Scholars
Provides MIT graduate students with funding for one year to conduct research related to the energy transition. Selection begins in winter, with awards made in late spring for the following September.
Energy Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program
Provides MIT undergraduates with funding to conduct energy-related research. We sponsor students during the spring and fall semesters, as well as during IAP and over the summer.
Tata Fellows
Supports MIT graduate students conducting research to develop practical solutions for resource-constrained communities, working closely with on-the-ground collaborators.
